Throughout 2018, ONLY SUN released a single every month. 12 months, 12 singles, 12 bits of artwork that all fit together to create Only Sun's monogram logo. From the beginning, the only plan was to be spontaneous, to create each months work as it came, to use a wide rang of styles and to keep it loose. Great idea, until it came to wrapping it all up together into a vaguely coherent piece. From their Spotify: "Only Sun love to jump around the stage until they are dripping with sweat. They also love to make indie bangers. Lots of them. In fact one every month last year. 12 whole indie bangers accompanied by their very own “I’m in the weird part of the internet again” music videos. This must have created quite a swell right? Correct! A swell which they plan to ride clean into 2019. SOLD OUT hometown show. SOLD OUT headline show at Thousand Island in London. HEADLINE UK TOUR. Support slots with Marsicans and Abbie McCarthy. Festivals like Liverpool Sound City. 2019 is going to be huge for the excitable lads. There’s more music on the way too. It might have already been written. It might already be their best work yet. That last part might never be solved. A series of gifs created for Plan International for sharing across social media as part of their "We are the next____" campaign, a part of their larger movement, "Because I am a Girl". The campaign promotes education and equal opportunities for girls and women all over the world who are denied access to schooling and careers based solely on their gender. They do great work, and I'm very pleased to have been able to help out on this project, support them if you can. A response to the blight of the interconnected social media era: the motivational quote. Easily shared, used to smugly signal how deep and profound you are, and betraying in my eyes and incredible egocentricism and lack of perspective, nothing makes my blood boil more than easily digestible bits of wisdom that one can share on Facebook or Instagram with a winky emoji face and #truth. In response to seeing one too many Marilyn Monroe quotes on rainy backdrops I've started a series of Nihilist posters offering pearls of wisdom to brighten up any wall-space, digital or physical. Instead of casually posting a quote about being "strong", or "loving with all your heart", why not ponder the meaninglessness of existence? Or, ask your friends whether the suffering of millions of lives everyday negates the traditional view of a God and/or morality? With these bite-sized tidbits, you're sure to get the conversation rolling and probably a text from your concerned mother asking if you're feeling alright.

Album and lead single artwork for new indie-rock band Only Sun. The shape is based on the crumpled paper that one goes through when writing a song, starting a new piece of work, beginning a new project. The textures come from a watercolour piece I did of the audio visualiser graphics of each song. so that when they're chopped up and put back into the shape they are a total representation of the album. The shape also began to look far more like origami at this stage, perhaps another layer of order emerging from an apparent chaos. Loads of fun to work on this with the band, really great guys, look out for them in the near future!

360 degree videos (hosted on YouTube). All are painted entirely in Photoshop, and animated in AfterEffects. For best results, use a VR headset, and YouTube app.

"Of course there are worlds! Millions of them! Every star you see has worlds, and most of those that don't' Isaac Asimov. One of the most appealing element of science fiction is undoubtedly the opportunity and the drive to create new and unsettling worlds. These worlds may differ vastly from Earth, or be a dark approximation of our home, often calling into question many of the values and assumptions we hold onto. But how can one visit these far-fetched (mostly) alternate realities? Obviously, through the power of awesome spacecraft. This is an ongoing project to render as many different spacecraft, terrestrial and non-terrestial, as possible. This is a fairly new medium for me but there are few things in life that can bring me as much joy as painting spaceships.
